Governance Structure

The governance structure is intended to represent the diversity of institutions and sectors that constitute the RIISQ to carry out its activities of consultation, research, training, animation, dissemination and information sharing. It is flexible, functional and transparent to allow a fair and balanced distribution of roles and responsibilities between the 18 universities and the integration of different disciplines, as well as the integration of partners, practices and decision-making.

  • Help recruit new student members;
  • Make recommendations on RIISQ’s training offerings and contribute to them;
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer and RIISQ’s visibility in various ways, such as webinars, podcasts, popularization contests, symposiums, emerging-scholar forums, and others;
  • Organize networking and mentoring events;
  • Make recommendations to enrich RIISQ’s EDI plan.

Responsibilities of committee members

  • Regular meeting every eight (8) weeks
  • Additional meetings may be called as needed
  • The presence of four people is required at each meeting (quorum)
  • Attendance at SC and BD meetings by representatives or substitutes

Committee composition

  • General coordinator: Pascale Chagnon, PhD candidate in land-use planning and regional development at Université Laval
  • Relations lead (student community, researchers, other research networks): Jonas Tchassem Pinlap, PhD candidate in public administration at ENAP
